Vaccination rates in rural SC are still very low. McCormick County is a notable exception.

In mid-September, South Carolina reached a major milestone in the fight against COVID-19; Finally, half of all eligible residents were fully vaccinated. McCormick County, small and rural as it may be, had one of the highest vaccination rates in the state.

More than 61 percent of eligible residents are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
